I believe in the mission statement of the Farmers Market and want to participate in continuing to help build upon the successes of the last couple of years. I have an interest in joining the board to help make decisions that positively position the market to grow and be successful long term and I would very much enjoy the opportunity to build stronger ties to the community in which I live and work.
This will be my first official board membership however I have relevant professional experience having been a project manager and business analyst in the healthcare industry. Those roles both required a great deal of time spent working to develop buy-in from key stakeholders, networking to build cross functional relationships and running regular committee meetings with specific focus on budget, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
Participating in the farmers market dovetails with my personal life where I enjoy having a small farm with ducks, chickens, goats and bees and growing delicious organic food in my garden.
